FARMS IN SCHOOLS INITIATIVE (FISCHI )

We implement 5 gardens under our schools project (Farms in Schools Initiative ) which aims to integrate sustainable farming practices into schools in Uganda , empowering students to become responsible stewards of the environment, reduce hunger, malnutrition and learn to fight poverty
Farms in Schools Initiative(FISCHI) focuses on enhancing food security and nutrition in school feeding programs while equipping young learners with practical agricultural knowledge through hands-on experiences. By linking education and agriculture, we ensure that ,School feeding programs do more than provide a meal—they become a catalyst for community development, economic empowerment, and generational transformation. Our major objective is to support Schools to develop and implement school gardens especially conducted by most vulnerable children

YOUTH IN AGRICULTURE PROGRAM

CLIMATE ACTION
The Climate Action project has new solutions to tackle the food waste challenge. We are collecting unwanted, imperfect,or ugly fruits and vegetables from markets. we dry and make fertilizers and animal feeds. Food waste is a big problem across the country.we separate food from other waste and give it a new life as fertilizer to improve soil. These fruits and vegetables are often rejected by buyers , despite being ugly but edible.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION
The Environment conservation project plays a vital role in implementing sustainable practices to protect and restore natural resources, particularly in managing tree conservation ,producing charcoal briquettes from organic waste, and running nursery tree beds: The project organizes tree planting campaigns to restore degraded lands and enhance biodiversity. We Convert organic waste into charcoal briquettes. This reduces deforestation and promotes the use of waste materials. By developing a market for these briquettes, the conservation project provide affordable energy alternatives for communities. https://youtu.be/FhbZ6PJ The projects use simple technology to promote sustainable agricultural practices, protect the environment, and address the urgent challenges of climate change. we Provide training to local communities to raise awareness about sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and the importance of biodiversity. |
